Global Semiconductor Industry updates
1. According to reports, the chip division of TP-LINK (Tenda Technology), a global leader in the router market, has been completely disbanded.
2. X-FAB, a global leader in analog, mixed-signal, and specialty semiconductor manufacturing, announced an investment of RM 3 billion to expand its Kuching plant.
3. The global semiconductor wafer market is highly concentrated, dominated by a few major players. Five leading companies, including South Korea’s SK Group, collectively account for more than 85% of the market share, particularly forming a monopoly in the technically demanding 12-inch wafer segment.
4. Samsung plans to raise Q4 contract prices for DRAM products, including LPDDR4X and LPDDR5/5X, by 15% to 30%, while NAND prices are expected to increase by 5% to 10%.

China Semiconductor Industry updates
1. The Shenzhen Sichuan-Chongqing Basketball League continues, with the “Sichuan-Chongqing Tongxin Club” youth team defeating the Tuozhan Optoelectronics team. Luo Yinliang from Huanyu Xincheng was awarded the MVP of the game!
2. On September 20, the “2025 Electronics Distribution Trends & Procurement Seminar,” organized by CGC Xinxirang Consulting, was successfully held in Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei.
3. The “Henan Province Action Plan for Accelerating AI Empowerment of New Industrialization (2025–2027)” has been issued, aiming for an AI industry scale exceeding RMB 160 billion by 2027, and establishing a nationally important AI industry hub and innovation application demonstration zone.
4. The 2025 China Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises list has been released, with Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Guangdong ranking as the top four provinces in terms of the number of companies included.
5. Shanghai Zhanxin Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully completed all procedures for its Series C financing, raising over RMB 1 billion in total.
6. Yilong Electronics Technology (Guizhou) Co., Ltd.’s annual production project of 200 tons of high-purity phosphine has successfully capped, with plans to commence production by the end of 2025.
